Don't be a complainer

Today's word: Exodus 16:8-12

8 Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD."

9 Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.' "

10 While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.

11 The LORD said to Moses, 12 "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.' "

How about you?
Are you a complainer? Do you often "get into moods" if things don't go the way you want? You might be surprised how quickly your moods can spread. The Lord wants you to be joyful and get along with others.

To memorize: Philippians 2:14
Do everything without complaining or arguing

We need to be responsible for our `moods'. Our moods can either lift people up around us or bring them crashing down. For example, if everyone is really excited about a project. But just because we're in a `bad mood', we throw around negative comment without thinking about the impact of our words, our body language that discourages people. Think about it, just one bad apple can really ruin the whole bagful of good apples. As christians, it is VERY important that we do NOT let our moods control us. But rather by the spirit of the Lord, control our moods and actions.
Food for thought!

i agree with susan! We must watch our moods and be in control of our moods and not the other way round! one of the fruits of the spirit is self-control, so ask the Holy Spirit to help u control ur moods and be joyful! This has reli made me realise how i should always be in control of my moods...eheh...

Pray pray pray when in temptations.
