Jesus paid your debt

Today's word: 1 Peter 1:17-21

17Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

How about you?
Do you feel guilty about things you have done? Are you trying to do better- to clean up your life? Perhaps you even try to do good things to "pay for" bad deeds of the past. Jesus already paid the price for all your sins. Confess them to Him and accept Him as your Savior. Then thank Him for puchasing your forgiveness. Don't feel guilty anymore- feel glad for what God did for you.

To memorize: 1 Corinthians 6:20
you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body

we need to constantly remind ourselves that we don't belong to ourselves but we have been bought with a very costly price - the blood of Jesus Christ. If we bear this in mind i reckon we wouldn't do half the things we do. Knowing that it is not pleasing to God. How would you feel if something you paid a great price for is not looked after properly ....our bodies are the temple of the Lord. Keep it holy and pleasing to Him !
