Keep your life pure

Today's word: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[a]? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[b]
17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."[c]
18"I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."[d]

How about you?
Are such things as selfishness, bad TV, or foul language diluting your testimony? Do you try to dress like and act like the 'cool' kids you know, even if their ways are displeasing to God? Don't pollute your life with impure things. Ask God to keep you true to Him.

To memorize: 2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

good reminder this is..

interesting insight. normally when ppl quote this verse, they will think don't date a non-christian. But in essence, the verse applies much more than who is our boyfriend/girlfriend. Who are friends whom we hang out with? Are they people who love Jesus & have a relationship with Him? If not, you may have to consider severing friendship with unbelievers especially if they influence your life & your character. On the other hand, don't go to the other extreme of only having christian friends. We are not of the world but we are in the world. We are put on earth to be the light of Christ in a dark & perverse generation.
In short, if you're starting to stray away from Jesus & behaving worse, then you may have to re-examine your friends
