Show love with actions
Today's word: 1 John 4:7-12
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[a] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[b] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Does someone in your family need a "special love"? As you remember all that God did to show His great love for you, will you, in turn, go out of your way to show love to that downhearted person? Maybe you can plan a party, do more that your share of the shores, or help in some special way. You'll surprised to find how much it will lift everyone's spirit.

Good thot for today....
You know, if we look hard enough around us, there are many who need to taste of the Love of the Lord. There are many who seek love from other sources. They think it is love, but alas, they will be disappointed. Only real source of love is God, and we are meant to be His channels.
May the people around us see Him and His love in us. May we constantly point them to Him, the source of comfort, salvation, direction and true love.

Was talking about this in my cf small group. Espec for Father's Day that since most dads find it hard to express their emotions... That children should express through actions.

Good stuff.
Lots of ppl need encouragement around us -good to say nice stuff, do lil nice things for them - take them by suprise - let us be willing vessels to lift up one another's spirits. In NZ while i was at uni, the girls there really love doin lil nice things. like baking, writing small notes, pluck a bunch of wildflowers bouquet for one another! my sis was one of these ppl!!
