Be a humble servent

Today's reading: Luke 1:26-33, 46-49

26In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

46And Mary said:
"My soul glorifies the Lord
47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.

How about you?
Do you think you are better than some people because you feel you are more talented than they are? Or do you think you are inadequate to do anything for God? Jesus wants obedient servants who are willing to stoop to help others so that He might be lifted up.

To memorize: Matthew 20:27
Whoever wants to be first must be your slave.

humility! but nowadays with our kind of lifestyle it's getting tougher..

i think we need to start serving God with the little things that He has entrusted us with before we think of doing big things...big things for God or things for our lives...u want to be successful in evertything you do?? be humble and serve....

saw this when I browsed PowerHouse website.

It's great that you guys are doing this. Way to go! Keep up the good work!

Youth CAN make a difference!

Ya lor, I feel very inadequate most of the time... Sometimes even inadequate to take a first step. But when I do, I get pleasant surprises most (not all) of the time. :-) Read from somewhere: The ones that God has called, God will equip. Believe?

About humility: hey our boss Jesus stooped so low to clean a stinky fisherman's feet; shouldn't we be stooping even lower? Hmmm.

for me if i lost ,i can feel that the wing has push me to d right way whre i want to go.....
