Learn to love others

Today's word: Mark 12:28-33

28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'[b] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c]There is no commandment greater than these."

32"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

How about you?
Do you ever just pretend to like someone? Why not ask God right now to teach you to love somebody you find it difficult to like. He loves that person. Ask Him to fill your heart with His love.

To memorize: John 15:12
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Verse 33 is SAME verse that the Lord has been using to impact in the lives of Michael and I. Resonating loudly.

Expression of this love for God and one another is natural, stemming first from our love for God. It doesnt mean that we ignore the difficulties we might have in interpersonal relationships; this happens all the time, for whatever reason. It means that we respect and accept one another, warts and differences and all, because we are created in the image of Christ....

Thanks for sharing this.
