Sin has lasting consequences

Today's word: Galatians 6:7-8

7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature[a]will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

How about you?
Do you ask God to help you make the right decision whenever you're tempted to lie, cheat, smoke, etc.....? You can come to Christ for forgiveness after you've sinned, but you may never be able to undo the awful consequences. Make up your mind (like Daniel) to obey God's word in all things. He will help you to do so.

To memorize: Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

may i ask what do u mean by 'You can come to Christ for forgiveness after you've sinned, but you may never be able to undo the awful consequences'? i thought that once you have asked for forgiveness and repented, you will no longer suffer from the consequences? bcos Jesus has paid the price?

oops sorry that was me up there.. rowena.

consequences is the result of sin...God forgives you what is inside you....but when we sin, we will have to bear the consequences of it...for example...i am married and if i had an affair i might have to bear the consequences of breaking my marriage...if i take drug, i might get the consequences of getting AIDS....but if i lie to my parents i might get the consequences of getting punnish...but above all that, if we ask Jesus for forgiveness, He will forgive you....i hope u get what i'm trying to say...

yah....example. having sex before marriage. THe consequence of that sin is you have a baby. You have to live with the consequence of your actions. But Jesus definately forgives you 100% of your wrong doing if you ask for His forgiveness.

oh.. i get it.. cos i was lookin it at a different angle.. i meant the result of sin is death. and Jesus paid for tht for us. so u meant it tht way..the consequences.. okay.. i get it. thx!
