Don't vacation from God

Today's word: 2 Timothy 3:14-17

14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

How about you?
When you're on vacation, do you also take a vacation from God's word? You sometimes need a rest from your normal routine, but you need to hear from God every day no matter where you are. Be sure to give Him an opportunity to speak to you through His word- with no vacations.

To memorize: Psalm 119:32
I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free

Here are some good reasons why we really need the word of God. Very good memory verse!! I always use this verse to remind myself the importance of feeding myself with the scripture. and trying to memorise what i can!

Oh yes, to have peace of mind, to feel joy in our hearts, to have spiritual nourishment and to honour God, we need a daily dose of Scriptures.

The living Word of God will quench all thirsts. It is the fulfilment of our needs. Simple remedy when we travel or go on vacation -- just bring your Bible along.

Memorise those scriptures that are meaningful to you so that you can draw upon their power in times of need. "The Sword of the Spirit" which is the Word of God can do wonders. [I can personally testify to this, the comfort, strength and power of God's living Word.]

Trust in the Lord and in the glory of His might!

This week, on my blog's posting of Weekly Wisdom, there are two sayings which seem very apt. So I'll copy them over and share with you....

"Your outer life is your reputation with people, but your inner life is your reputation with God."

"Are you so busy working for God that you never spend any time with God?"
