Jesus is the light

Today's word: John 3:19-21

19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

How about you?
Has the light of Christ shined into your heart? Have you seen the sin that is there? If so, confess your sin. Ask God to forgive you, and receive the "light of life".

To memorize: John 3:21
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God

how does tht person who lives in the dark who doesnt want to b in the light for fear that her deeds will be exposed be changed? how does a fellow friend change her? or make her realise she is wrong when she doesnt even want to confess it or admit it?

Good questions, Rowena. What comes to my mind right now is 'the Truth will set her free'.

Without the light of Jesus in our hearts, we are spiritually blind though we can see. So tell your friend abt Jesus and salvation.

All humans are born into sin and we need to realize this and repent and receive the forgiveness that God offers through Jesus our Lord and Redeemer.

God knows everything so though your friend can hide from others, she cannot hide from God. Our heavenly Father's love is so wondrous that all our sins will be forgiven (1 John 1:9) once we confess and repent. No punishment at all since the precious blood of Jesus Christ has paid the ultimate
price for the cleansing of our sins. Our God is so compassionate and merciful. Though we certainly do not deserve it, His amazing grace is for all who believes. [the symbolic verse of all Christians, John 3:16]

So just tell your friend that what she is going though is what a great number of others are facing also. She is definitely not alone and Jesus is waiting patiently for her response.

Our Lord Jesus is "the Way, the Truth and the Life". He will open the door but we need to enter by ourselves. So encourage your friend to reach out for Jesus, whose loving arms are poised to embrace her.

Pray for your friend for her deliverance and find a quiet place to pray with her at an appropriate time. If you need some help, just ask any of the PowerHouse leaders who are more than willing to assist.

If the friend that you are refering to is already a Christian
and is going through a hard time, then tell her more about the goodness of our Father God and the blessings that He is just waiting to give to us once the sin barrier is broken by our repentance. Just talk to Jesus who will make things right and His light will soon dispel away all the darkness that is encompassing your friend.

Pray to our heavenly Father for guidance and wisdom on how to bring your friend in distress back to the wonderful warmth and joyful light of Jesus. God Bless.
