Let God "remodel" you

Today's word: James 1: 2-4, 9-12

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

9The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. 10But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.

12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

How about you?
Are you going through a rough time right now? Trust God! He can work, even through situations that seem tragic to you, to "remodel" your life into something better than ever. Use this time to rethink your values, your habits, and your goals in the light of God's Word.

To memorize: James 1:4
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything

tho the sorrow may last for the night..
but joy comes in the morning...

hm yeah. im encouraged.

"though the winter may be long,
soon it will be spring"

I shared the above words with someone who was feeling sad, far far away from home. I was very moved when one day years later she told me that it was what kept her going during her lonely years studying overseas whenever she was depressed and missing home.

Patience is a virtue that all of us should try to cultivate. God will answer our prayers if and when the time is right. Trust in the Lord whose love for us is beyond measure. Persevere in all that you set out to do and success will be forthcoming.
