Use blessings for God

Today's word: Deuteronomy 28:1, 8-13

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.

8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

How about you?
Salvation is a free gift from God, but with it comes responsibilities. If you have been saved from sin, you have the responsibility of being a Christian witness, of living for God, of keeping His commandments. Every blessings comes with responsibility attached. Are you using your good mind, your voice, or you ability to make friends for the Lord? Are you giving Him your time and your money? Thank God for your blessings, use them for Him, and He will continue to bless you.

To memorize: Proverbs 3:1-2
1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,

2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you prosperity.

As the scriptures say, "walk in obedience to God and He will grant you the desires of your heart".

We are more blessed than most of us realize, so let us use our blessings to bless others.

Be eveready to share the gospel, so that others who have yet to know will get to know the goodness of God and the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.

In everything and for everything,
praise God. Hallelujah.

"Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart" Psalm 37:4. No guarantees that He will give us all that is in our heart. It also depends on what IS in our heart.

However, as Deut 28:9 says, if we keep the commands of the Lord and walk in His ways (not ours)we WILL be established as His holy people. Indeed, this chapter in Deuteronomy outlines the blessings and fruit we get if we follow the Lord and His ways, because we remain under His covering and protection. And as a blessed people, we should be respsonsible to use these blessing to bless others. Otherwise, we would be a selfish people... and that was never the reason why we are created nor blessed in the first case.

May the Lord continue to bless us to be blessings to others!

Oh yes, the desires of our hearts must be in tune with God's teachings so that our wishes will be granted.

Be grateful and thankful. So it is better to count our blessings and not add up our troubles instead.
Why be sad when we can be happy.

The joy our kindness brings to someone returns to us double. Not that we hope for this when showing love and kindness but this is the way it is when we do the Lord's bidding.
