Today's word: Matthew 5:13-16
13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

How about you?
Are you being a "good flavor" to your schoolmates? To your family? Jesus didn't say you could be like salt if you wanted to be. No, He said you are the salt of the earth. Live that way.

You are the salt of the earth
aha, a little bit of salt adds flavour to a lot of things. [eg. a piece of green apple or turnip, a simple cabbage dish, lime juice, buttered corn on the cob, potato chips, chicken soup etc. etc.]
"We are the salt of the world". Hey, that means we can add flavour to a lot of fellow humans...and make them better.
God has given us all various talents to be the salt of the world. We need to make use of them on a regular basis or we are likely to lose our abiliy to put our 'gifts' to good use.
So let the light of Jesus that is in each one of His followers shine through unto others so that they too will get to know the Lord and partake of His deliverance.
Now is the time!!!

The many wonderful properties of salt!
1. Preserves the good (yaayy!)
2. Destroys the bad (another yaaaayyy!)
3. Gives flavour (yessss)
4. Enhances flavour (double yessss!)
5. Lowers the freezing point (what does that say about those cold hearts out there?!)
And I cant remember if there are any more.....
