Be a servent

Today's word: Luke 19:29-35

29As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 30"Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it.' "

32Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. 33As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"

34They replied, "The Lord needs it."

35They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.

How about you?
Are you afraid to try to speak out for Jesus? Are you afraid that if you try to sing a song or play an instrument to serve Him, you will make a mistake? Take a lesson form the donkey. Be available. Be loosed. And be controlled. The Lord needs you!

To memorize: Luke 19:34
They replied, "The Lord needs it."

"Be a Donkey!"

A lot of ppl seem to think that donkeys are stupid animals, [I used to but not anymore]for in fact, donkeys are smarter than we give them credit for.

They are stubborn yes, stupid no. Dont mistake their stubborness for stupidity. I feel that donkeys are actually quite clever by only pretending to be stupid when it is in their favour to do so.

Read abt Balam and his donkey in the bible where despite being kicked and hit with a stick many times, the animal refused to move any further. Finally it talked to its master (through God,s grace) that if he has gone on as bidded, the angel up ahead with his drawn sword would have cut Balam and his mount down.

Interesting, how God works and looks after us. Sometimes we want to go ahead and do stupid things against God's will AND IF NOT for our heavenly Father's gracious mercy,we would have perished.

Our Lord Jesus could have the finest stallion in the land but He chose a humble donkey. [Perhaps to teach us humility?].

Let us be humble in serving the Lord as best as we can...
