Strengthen new Christians

Today's word: Luke 22:25-32

25Jesus said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. 27For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. 28You are those who have stood by me in my trials. 29And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, 30so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

31"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you[a] as wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

How about you?
Do you think a newly saved person should take care of himself? All Christians need help and guidance, especially those who are new converts. You can help them. Jesus' advice to Peter is good advice to you too.

To memorize: Luke 22:32
And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers

True. No one can be perfect...

i think this is more like justin's ministry :)

... need one another. need companions. need friends. need fellowship. need family. need encouragement. that's who we are.

yeah....it's SOOOO IMPORTANT that we don't just lead people to the Lord and leave them like that. Kasi biar saja. We are responsible to help grow them in their faith.

13Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God's ways; 14solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong. (Hebrews 5:13-14)

We need to feed them milk initially. The basics of the christian faith. And slowly guide them towards more solid food. And true discipleship is achieve when the new convert is able to be independent and takes the initiative to be responsible for his/her own christian growth.
