Don't look down on others

Today's word: 1 Corinthians 4:5-8

5Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

6Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. 7For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

8Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have become kingsā€”and that without us! How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kings with you!

How about you?
Do you know someone who has reason to be ashamed of his parents or even himself? Do you tend to "look down" on that person- to consider yourself better than him? Don't be proud. It's only because of God's grace to you that you're not in his position and he in yours. Thank God for what He's done for you. Then love others as God does.

To memorize: Psalm 138:6
Though the LORD is on high, he looks upon the lowly,
but the proud he knows from afar.

Yes, "judge not, lest ye be judged". All of us have our own faults so we should not condemn others.

We should also not envy or be jealous of others. Our heavenly Father is just and righteous and will provide for each and every one of His children according to His will. Be contented with what you have and more will be given when the time is right.

Remember earthly treasures and heavenly treasures are never the same. Pray for wisdom to make the right choice.

We should not boast with self- pride for whatever talents that we have or achievements we have accomplished are gifts from God.

BUT there is one thing that we can proudly boast of: that we have Jesus as Lord and Saviour!!!

We can be proud [but not overly boastful]of our achievements but all honour and glory goes to God. Thank the Holy Spirit for His guidance and inspiration.

We did it because Christ strenghtens us and helps us to make it. Praise the Lord.

When we do well, the angels in heaven celebrates with us. Our loving Father God is indeed proud of His children.

Yes, those that have Jesus as Lord and Saviour and Friend are truly blessed!!! If you are not one yet, dont wait any longer...
