Live close to Jesus

Today's word: 1 Peter 2:21-25

21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
22"He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth."[a] 23When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

How about you?
Do you realise that you should spend time each day with God? You can't expect to live the way He did if you tink about Him only occasionally. Constant contact with the Lord is important.

To memorize: 1 Peter 2:21
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps

Excellent reminder. Thanks.

Am applying that to my life together with Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart (desires!) and lean not on your own understanding (not thinking about what He would want, but using our own wisdom). In all your ways acknowledge Him (cant do that without spending time with Him) and He shall direct your paths". Only way to live....

Verse 7 goes on about not being wise in our own eyes. How true. Spending time with Him will give us a new perspective and we will learn to fear Him. This will lead us to depart from evil and thereby bring us health and strength (v7,8)

Yup, we definately need to spend good quality time with GOd each day. How can we get to know a person well unless we spend time with the person right! ;)

Yes, a daily walk with the Lord is required for our spiritual growth.

"a little talk with Jesus will make things right".

Spending time with our Saviour is not only important but imperative
in Christian living.

What a great previlege we have but sadly some of us dont realise it...
